So, today, I went to a book signing for Percy Jackson and the Olympians. To be honest, I haven't read the series, because I think it has a little too much magic/Roman-god stuff in it for my liking. But, I went because, instead of the author signing books, it was the three main actors from the upcoming film, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lighting Thief. They are: Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, and Brandon T. Jackson. The only reason I went was to get Logan Lerman's autograph. Why? Well, have you ever seen the movie Hoot? If not, it's a great movie. Logan Lerman played the main character in the movie (Roy Eberhardt). Hoot, which is also a book, is pretty good. What I really wanted was for Logan Lerman to sign my copy of Hoot. I was very blessed because I did get it signed. It was crazy, because of all the people, but I I was able to get him to sign it, and that's all I wanted. I did feel bad though, because the other two actors didn't have anything to sign (they just kind of looked at me and said "hey", like "so... you don't want us to sign anything?"). But it was fine, because I'm sure they didn't mind not signing anything. lol. Here's some pics!

And, a pic of my book, signed by Logan Lerman!
The pics are terrible, but at least you can recognize the people...
Well, that was my Saturday. Have a great weekend everyone, and I'll post more soon!

P.S. He (Logan Lerman) shook my hand! When I first watched Hoot, I would have never had thought that I would one day shake his hand... who knew!

Hoot is an awesome movie! Seriously enjoyable and funny. I haven't read the book, but loved the movie. Actually when i saw the previews for the movies, I was like "Hey that's the kid from Hoot. You know Roy." Anyhow it inspired me to start reading Percy Jackson in preparation for the movie. So I am... but I would agree that there is a lot about Greek Mythology in it. However, I read Harry Potter as well. I would mention that I don't plan on allowing my children (I only have one at 4 months right now) to read any of HP or PJ until they are in high school and have a very clear understanding that none of this is real. Thanks for the post and pictures!
I know! I love Hoot... it's so great...
I agree completely! If I ever have kids, I won't let them read anything really "border-lined" until they are older and mature enough to handle something like that.
That is sooo cool! I have never seen Hoot and I'm not familiar with ercy Jackson and the Olympians, but that is still awesome!
Wow, that’s so cool!!!! I really love the Hoot movie though I’m ashamed to say I never made it through the whole book. :)
And I’m totally with you guys! I didn't read HP until I was 13, and I’m really glad I waited! I mean, in my opinion, why would you want to expose yourself to that type of stuff until your older and spiritually mature enough to know that it’s a story and nothing more...
That sounds like fun! I love booksignings. I haven't read or seen either Hoot or Percy Jackson, but as a shelver at the library, I know about virtually every book that's out. I've had recommendations for both, but I've already got quite the reading list, so they didn't make the cut. :)
Hey, you're right! It IS the kid from Hoot! I loved that movie, though I never read the book. Sounds like you had fun. Booksignings like that are pretty hectic, though. Hopefully you didn't get bumped around too much.
I got the chance to read the first Percy Jackson book just last week (Actually, I listened to the audio book version). It was... interesting. I think it'll make a better movie. You know what, I'll write a review of the book on my blog. Your comment section isn't the right place. :P
Cool post!
Thank you for commenting with your photography question on my blog. To better answer your question, may I ask you something? What camera do you have?
If you are able, please comment on my blog with your answer. Thank you so much!

Jon,
I like the new layout.
After watching HOOT the other day on Disney channel, I still didn't realize it was the same guy- thanks for pointing that out! I wish I could have been there to see the looks on the other actors faces when you handed him the "HOOT" book, it would have made me laugh. Thanks for posting the pics, they are pretty good.
