DUMA

Hey, I just watched the most awesome movie ever! It's called Duma... I don't know why I liked it so much though. Maybe it's the "deep down inside of me" longing for adventure that made me and the movie click. Or something crazy like that. Now, here is something crazy, especially for me to say: I think it might have been better than movies for Narnia. If your in shock, sorry, but it's true. I got the soundtrack, and it has inspired me to write an African song... so I started, but the flute in the software wasn't sounding to great. So, I recorded myself playing the flute. I did it with a "wooden flute head-joint". Not a lot of people know that there is such a thing. Here's a picture of mine:
Basically, a wooden flute head-joint is like a normal silver head-joint for the flute, except it's wooden. Wow, that was complicated... not. lol. The clip of music that you can hear is only about a minute because I don't want to spoil the whole song. Please please PLEASE let me know what you think! Link to song. Btw, the song isn't finalized or anything... this version is just a rough draft.
So, here's some random stuff:
I was taking a picture of my dog, and I didn't realize the flash was on. Oops! Oh well, he was practically blind to begin with... lol, seriously, just kidding.
Our lake froze over. Again. It is freezing here in Atlanta. Well, for us, that is. 16 degrees Fahrenheit is nothing for some people.
I'll post some more later...

Haha the day you posted this I was going to comment on it...but wanted to give it one more day so I could think on it before putting my opinion...I like to do that instead of being hasty ;) And...I got busy...and forgot! I am sorry!!!
Anyways, I think your composition is definitely great and creative! Sounds like a combination of an African feel and a Narnia feel haha :) I believe you've practically got the perfect balance between those two feels...maybe just a bit more african touch is needed though? I'm not positive at all...It really sounds good like it is!! I'm probably totally wrong and a bad music critic! haha
